University Of Queensland Master of Advanced Economics Scholarships in Australia, 2019: the University Of Queensland Master of Advanced Economics Scholarships in Australia, 2019 is open for International Students. The scholarship allows Masters level programme(s) in the field of Economics taught at the University of Queensland. The deadline for the scholarship is October 31, 2019.
The Master of Advanced Economics (MAdvEcon) degree is designed to provide a pathway to the School of Economics Ph.D. program. An alternative pathway is via an approved Bachelor of Economics (Honours) programme.
Upon successful completion of the MAdvEcon, students may then apply to enroll in the Ph.D. degree. Within the Ph.D. degree, students take the second year of coursework before embarking on the completion of their thesis over the subsequent 2-3 years. The MAdvEcon followed by the Ph.D. programme involves a total of 4 to 5 years of study.
Please note, the Master of Advanced Economics degrees (16 and 24 units) are only available to students pursuing a Ph.D. with the School of Economics. Applicants wishing to undertake a coursework Masters program should consider the alternative degrees offered in the School of Economics suite of programs.
If you are considering applying for a Ph.D. scholarship with UQ, please be aware that the Ph.D. scholarship must be for full-time Ph.D. enrolment only.

Scholarship Benefits: Only tuition fees, tuition fee + $30,000 per year.

Your application for the MAdvEcon must include the relevant supporting documents:
- Academic CV
- Previous academic transcripts
- Evidence of English language requirements (GMAT/GRE score sheets if applicable)
- At least two referee reports.
There is no need to locate a supervisor before applying.
Applications will be considered in two rounds. The deadline for the first application round is 30 April and the deadline for the second application round is October 31.
