University of Mauritius 2020/2021 Full-time MPhil/PhD Scholarship: The proposed title for this MPhil/Ph.D. study is “Optimising light rail transit systems using a multiobjective nature-inspired algorithm”.
This MPhil/Ph.D. (MPhil transfer to Ph.D.) scholarship is offered as part of the
funding provided by the Higher Education Commission (Previously Tertiary
Education Commission) for the project titled “A mesoscopic simulator for the optimization of Light Rail Transit Systems”
Value of Award: The Scholarship covers an annual tuition and registration fees up to a maximum of Rs 75,000 and a monthly stipend: MPhil – Rs 16,500; Ph.D. – Rs 18,300.
Eligibility For University of Mauritius 2020/2021 Full-time MPhil/PhD Scholarship: Applicants must hold at least an Upper Second-Class Honours Degree in Computer Science/ Information Systems/ Applied Computing/ Software Engineering/ Mathematics/ Physics/ Engineering, or related fields,
from a recognized institution.

How to Apply For University of Mauritius 2020/2021 Full-time MPhil/PhD Scholarship: A summary of your understanding of the subject will have to be submitted. The summary should not exceed 2 pages and should contain the following:
‣ Your understanding of the problem statement for this research;
‣ Brief literature review on optimization algorithms applied in transport and light rail transits; and
‣ References using the Harvard Referencing style.
