Eligibility Criteria For Excellence Scholarship Program for International Students At Budapest Metropolitan University Hungary 2020/2021
- All international METU applicants for each study program
- Applicants showing particular academic excellence /Bachelor’s level/:
● English level min. C1
● Excellent performance at the Skype interview during the application process
● In case Math test is needed, the applicant should reach min 80%
● In the case of Art and Design Programs, the professors should give a high rating for the design portfolio (min. 30/35)
● High-school GPA and grades min. 80% e.g.:
➤ SAT 1280/1600
➤ IB 6/7
➤ Cambridge IGCSE min. 2 A or 4 AS levels
➤ We also accept all other national/international High-school diplomas; the GPA always has to be above 80% - Applicants showing particular academic excellence /Master’s level/:
● English level min. C1
● Excellent performance at the Skype interview during the application process
● In the case of Art and Design Programs, the professors should give a high rating for the design portfolio (min. 30/35)
● Bachelor’s GPA min. 80%, in case it’s available at your previous university, min. First Class Bachelor Hons Degree - The final decision about the scholarship allocation will be made by the Admission Committee
- The maximum number of scholarship winners is 30 students
How to Apply For Excellence Scholarship Program for International Students At Budapest Metropolitan University Hungary 2020/2021
- How to Apply: There is no need to make a separate application for this application as all candidates will automatically be chosen and awarded with this application after selecting for an approved course at the university.
- Supporting Documents: The following documents are required to submit: Pre-qualification degree, copies of academic transcripts, certificates of English language proficiency, a statement, and a copy of passport.
- Admission Requirements: For the bachelor degree program, applicants must have international high-school diplomas. On the other hand for the master course, they must hold a first-class bachelor honors degree.
- Language Requirement: For most of the courses, the university requires IELTS and TOEFL level English qualification.

The winners of the Excellence Scholarship are eligible to get a 500 EUR discount/semester (1000 EUR discount/year).
The winners of the Excellence Scholarship are also eligible to receive the discount during the rest of their studies subject to the following conditions:
- Outstanding study performance
- They fulfill an internship of 60 hours/ semester at one of the administrative offices of METU, starting from the second semester. The tasks may include sales and marketing tasks, representation on higher education fairs, organizing student events, etc.
